Cora L. Jackson is . . .

• A Spirit-filled and spirited psalmist, soloist, writer, and director, mother of five, grandmother to eight, friend and teacher, child of God.
• Composer of over 200 songs and three dramatic musicals.
• Pastor of Righteous Harvest Christian Fellowship.
• Owner of Sonojack Records and ND Valle’ Music, the publisher of Cora’s printed music and plays.

For more than thirty-five years, Cora’s career has been music ministry. She has performed with many great gospel musicians, and toured with several choirs as vocalist and music director.

She’s made numerous public appearances: Carnegie Hall, Sankofa Maafa, Port Townsend Blues and Jazz Festivals, televised Black History Month programs, Children’s Defense Fund National Conference, Black Dollar Days banquet with Dick Gregory, singing of the national anthem for the Seattle Supersonics ball game, radio and television appearances and countless other special occasions. She ministers at schools, juvenile detention centers, prisons, homeless shelters and churches across the Northwest.

Original Praise, featuring Temperance and some of the finest musicians in the Seattle area was the first recording produced by Sonojack Records. The release of En Masse (MNOP Records), a live recording with Shades of Praise Gospel Choir, followed. Concert of the Cross, a gospel passion play portraying Jesus’ birth, life and death through drama and song was also recorded live. God Is So Good to Me was the late Edmonia Jarrett's final gospel-jazz recording project. And in April of 2005, Cora and S.T.A.N.D. released The Rock, featuring Cora's music, and S.T.A.N.D.'s vocal talents.
