Linda Burgess Duncan is a founding member of Righteous Harvest Christian Fellowship. She provides a critical service to the Deaf community.

On October 5, 2007, Linda's dream of a Deaf Bible Study class became a reality. Since then, every 1st Friday of the month, Deaf people and their hearing family members and friends have gathered at RHCF to study the Word of God.

Church services at RHCF at interpreted for the Deaf every 2nd and 4th Sunday.

Linda is a Seattle native who began learning sign language after her first child was diagnosed as being deaf. Her quest for knowledge of sign language and Deaf culture led her to Seattle Central Community College’s Interpreter Training Program (ITP), from which she earned a degree in Interpreting for the Deaf.

Linda is distinguished as the second African American to graduate from Seattle Central Community College’s ITP and, to-date, the only African American parent of a deaf child to graduate from the program.

For more than twenty five years, Linda has worked in the field of deafness. She began her religious interpreting career at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Seattle, where she served the Deaf Ministry for 20 years.

Ms. Burgess Duncan is self-employed as a free-lance sign language interpreter and has been a part-time sign language instructor for the past twenty years. She also interprets for students in the Seattle School District. Linda resides in Seattle with her husband, Peter. She knows that God used what appeared to be a lemon in her life, to make delicious lemonade!
